Match Report: Yeovil Town v Odd Down

Yeovil Town advanced to the final of the Somerset Premier Cup tonight as they overcame Odd Down 5-0 at Huish Park. Olufela Olomola put Town in front after just 4 minutes but Yeovil didn't add a second until early in the second half. Town scored three in the space of six minutes as Josh Neufville grabbed Yeovil's second on 51 minutes, Yussuf got the third on 54 minutes and Neufville grabbed his second of the night on 57 minutes. Substitute Korey Andrews grabbed a goal with 10 minutes left and Yeovil advanced to the final for the first time since 2015.

Charlie Lee fielded a mixture of first team and reserve players for this and they opted for a 4-4-2 formation with Jordan Barnett, Ollie Haste, Morgan Williams and Jake Graziano in front of Max Evans. Sonny Blu Lo-Everton, Toby Stephens, Alex Bradley and Josh Neufville made up the midfield while Adi Yussuf and Olufela Olomola lead the attack.

On the bench was Luke Wilkinson, Dale Gorman, Fin Skiverton, Korey Andrews and Callum Deemer.

Odd Down kicked off towards the home terrace.

It only took four minutes for Yeovil to take the lead as Olufela Olomola turned and shot at the near post to put Yeovil 1 up.

At that point it was looking likely that Yeovil would be out of sight very soon but despite dominating possession they weren't able to create many further opportunities. Chris Blammon made a few decent saves for Odd Down but there was little to report for the remainder of the first half.

Half Time: Yeovil Town 1-0 Odd Down

Yeovil turned up the pressure in the second half and within 6 minutes of the restart they had their second goal as Josh Neufville's shot at goal squirmed under the Odd Down keeper and over the line.

Four minutes later Adi Yussuf added the third to give Yeovil a firm grip on the game.

Two minutes later Olufela Olomola almost got Yeovil's fourth with a cracking effort from 25 yards that came back off the post but shortly after Josh Neufville grabbed his second of the night with a shot into the top corner.

Just after the goal Josh Neufville had made his mark on the game and was replaced by Fin Skiverton.

On 61 minutes Odd Down made their first substitution as Tom Ellis Ricketts was replaced by Cealan Simpson on 61 minutes.

Sonny Blu Lo-Everton then made way for Korey Andrews on 66 minutes before Odd Down made their last two subs by replacing Ashley Robinson and Raphael Waugh with William Humprhies and Reeko Best.

Yeovil made their final substitution on 77 minutes as they replaced Olufela Olomola with Callum Deemer.

With 10 minutes to go Yeovil wrapped up the game by adding a fifth through Korey Andrews after Fin Skiverton's shot was saved and rebounded into Andrews path who fired the ball home.

The rest of the game passed without incident and Yeovil advanced to the final where they will face Bath City.
