Darren Sarll made four changes to the side that was beaten 1-0 at Boreham Wood last weekend. The injured Rhys Murphy was replaced by Marc Richards while Remeao Hutton and Jimmy Smith returned to the starting XI. Liam O'Brien replaced Stuart Nelson in goal.
The game started off fairly evenly with neither side threatening the opposite goal. Yeovil were passing the ball around well and were enjoying good spells of possession which was nice to see after the recent performances.
Yeovil suffered an unwanted injury blow mid-way through the first half as Liam O'Brien went down injured and had to be stretchered off. Stuart Nelson came on to replace him on 22 minutes.
Yeovil were continuing to pass the ball around well and they thought they had got their reward as Luke Wilkinson bundled the ball into the net from close range however it was ruled out for a foul on Wrexham keeper Robert Lainton.
Six minutes later Yeovil had another opportunity to take the lead as the ball was crossed into the box from a corner and found Luke Wilkinson unmarked at the far post however his effort hit the side netting.
Wrexham were playing some nice football of their own but they weren't able to carve out any chances with it. Despite this they were given a good opportunity to take the lead as half time approached as Remeao Hutton was caught in possession but Jordan Ponticelli's shot was well saved by Stuart Nelson.
With two minutes to go until half time Yeovil took the lead in bizarre fashion. Wrexham keeper Robert Lainton was attempting to kick the ball out of his hands but thought he had been fouled by Courtney Duffus. He then placed the ball at his feet but play continued and Duffus kicked the ball into an empty net.
Half Time - Yeovil Town 1-0 Wrexham
The second half continued in the same manner as the first with Yeovil under very little pressure from the opposition.
Yeovil doubled their advantage on 55 minutes as a thunderous free kick from Luke Wilkinson flew in the back of the net from 30 yards leaving Robert Lainton with no chance to stop it.
With a two goal advantage the game was very comfortable for the home side as they were still creating chances and not being put under enough pressure from the away side.
Yeovil wrapped up the points in injury time as Albi Skendi was on hand to tap the ball in from close range.
Full Time - Yeovil Town 3-0 Wrexham
