Man of the Match Voting for Yeovil v Harrogate

Yeovil Town slipped to a disappointing 2-1 defeat this afternoon at Huish Park in a scrappy, frustrating game.

The first half passed without incident as neither side threatened to break the deadlock. The best chance of the half for Yeovil was cleared off the line as Courtney Duffus poked the ball past the on-rushing Harrogate goalkeeper but the defender just managed to clear it.

The second half didn't see an improvement from Yeovil's perspective and they were made to pay for being lackluster in the 71st minute. Brendan Kiernan's shot from just inside the box found its way into the bottom corner.

Just 7 minutes later the visitors doubled their advantage. A defensive mix up saw Yeovil foolishly lose possession right in front of goal and Jack Muldoon fired it home to put the game out of reach for Yeovil.

In the first minute of stoppage time Yeovil halved the deficit as Rhys Murphy fired the ball home. It was too little too late though and Yeovil fell to their second defeat in 3 games.

With both Halifax and Bromley losing today it was an opportunity for Yeovil to go top of the table. Instead they are left in 3rd place.
