Man of the Match Voting Results for Woking

Last Tuesday evening saw Yeovil Town bounce back from their disappointing defeat at Hartlepool by beating Woking 3-1 at Huish Park.

After a shaky start for both teams Yeovil took the lead on 12 minutes through Rhys Muprhy as he fired in from close range.

Just before half time Yeovil doubled their advantage as Courtney Duffus was fouled in the box and the referee pointed to the penalty spot. Rhys Murphy stepped up to take it and even though the shot was blocked he managed to fire in the rebound for 2-0.

Just 2 minutes later Yeovil went 3 goals to the good as Murphy produced a fantastic low shot across the box for Jimmy Smith to slot into the back of the net.

In the second half Yeovil took their foot of the gas and began to slow the game down. Woking were kept at bay for the first 20 minutes of the second half but a thunderous shot from distance by Woking's Ibrahim Meite found its way into the top corner for 3-1. It wasn't enough to spark a late comeback though and Yeovil ran out 3-1 winners.
