The match started perfectly for Yeovil as they took the lead just 8 minutes in. Rhys Murphy played a brilliant ball to Matt Worthington who slotted it into the bottom corner for 1-0.
Yeovil were the stronger side in the first half but they failed to create any further chances. The closest they got to adding a second was a Jimmy Smith header that hit the bar.
In the second half Chorley played their way back into the game and in the 70th minute they deservedly drew the match level. A goalmouth scramble saw the ball fall to Ntumba Massanka who managed to poke the ball past Nelson.
Yeovil pressed on looking for the winner and it appeared as thought they had restored their lead as a free kick from James Tilley found Tom Bradbury who fired the ball home. However, the linesman had ruled Bradbury offside and a draw was looking the more likely outcome.
Yeovil were still pressing forward searching for the winning goal and with 86 minutes on the clock Rhys Murphy got his 9th goal of the campaign as he headed the ball past Matt Urwin from James Tilley's cross.
6 minutes of injury time was added on but Yeovil managed to see the game out to claim the three points in Lancashire.
