Man of the Match Voting Results for Haringey

Last Tuesday evening saw Yeovil Town advance to the 1st Round Proper of the FA Cup thanks to a 3-0 win at Haringey Borough. After the events of the first game 10 days earlier it was important that the Yeovil players kept their focus and professionalism in the midst of all the extra attention surrounding the game.

The first half saw very little chances for both sides but Yeovil had the better passing ability and physical strength. This allowed Town to limit the amount of chances for Haringey as they were able to contain them very well.

As the half progressed Yeovil were beginning to impose themselves on the game and began to carve out some good opportunities. 31 minutes into the match they got their reward as Chris Dagnall netted his first goal for the club after a goalmouth scramble fell to his feet and he managed to slam the ball home.

After the break Haringey began to play their way back into the game and they nearly drew the match level as they caught Yeovil on the break but Stuart Nelson made a fine save to preserve the 1-0 advantage for Yeovil.

Despite Hariney's strong start to the half they fell 2-0 behind on 56 minutes Luke Wilkinson rose highest to head home Yeovil's second from a corner.

Three minutes later Yeovil made it 3-0 as Chris Dagnall got his second goal of the night after taking advantage of a mistake by Haringey goalkeeper Valery Pajetat.

Haringey were still creating opportunities of their own - most notably a superb fee kick that was well saved by Nelson to preserve the 3-0 scoreline.

4 minutes of time was added on at the end of the match but it mattered little as Yeovil ran out 3-0 winners.
