Man of the match voting results for Torquay

Yeovil Town overcame Torquay United 2-0 on New Years Day at Plainmoor despite playing most of the match with 10 men. Goals from Courtney Duffus and Rhys Murphy were enough to claim all three points.

Yeovil were reduced to 10 men on 12 minutes as Chris Dagnall was shown a straight red card for kicking out at Torquay 'keeper Lucas Covolan Cavagnari.

Despite being a man down Yeovil took the lead just 4 minutes later as Courtney Duffus hammered a shot into the bottom corner to claim his 14th goal of the season.

Yeovil continued to play good football throughout the match and with Torquay themselves being reduced to 10 men on 79 minutes Yeovil had a very good opportunity to claim all three points.

Despite some late scares from Torquay Yeovil wrapped up the point in the 93rd minute as Rhys Murphy chipped the ball into the net to cap off a superb performance from Yeovil.
