Man of the Match Voting Results for Dover

Last Saturday afternoon saw Yeovil Town advance to the First Round Proper of the FA Cup for the 51st time as a non-league club in their history in an entertaining game with Dover Athletic at Huish Park.

Yeovil took a 2-0 lead which they thoroughly deserved in the first half as a brace from Rhys Murphy put the home side firmly in control of the match but out of nowhere Dover pulled the game level in the space of four minutes just before half time.

Yeovil regained the lead in the second half through Joe Quigley as he headed Yeovil back in front but Dover pulled it level again and the match had to be settled with a penalty shootout.

The shootout saw some great penalties being taken from both sides and it went to sudden death as both sides scored all 5 of their penalties.

In the end Adam Smith made the all important match-winning save to see Yeovil finally progress 7-6 on penalties.
