Hartlepool took the lead with just 2 minutes on the clock as Rhys Oates drove forward with the ball, beat the Yeovil defence and squared the ball across to Luke Molyneux who had an easy tap in at the far post.
Hartlepool continued to press and if it wasn't for wasteful finishing they could have been out of sight within 15 minutes.
They eventually made it 2-0 as Gavin Holahan slotted the ball past Adam Smith after Yeovil had once again failed to deal with a Hartlepool attack.
On 31 minutes Tyler Magloire turned and shot into the back of the net for 3-0.
In the first minute of first injury time Town made it 3-1 as Joe Quigley was able to pull one back for Town from close range.
In the second half Yeovil didn't improve much thankfully the scoreline didn't get any worse and Town could hopefully put the negative result behind them.
