The COVID-19 pandemic continued to cause issues for non-league football during the 2020-2021 season. All divisions below the National League were declared null and void on the 14th February 2021 meaning that no promotion or relegation would occur between the National League North/South and the National League.
*Due to the COVID-19 pandemic Dover Athletic were unable to complete their fixtures mid-way through the season. As a result all their results were expunged meaning that Yeovil's 3-1 win over them at Huish Park on 30th January was declared null and void.
As a result of Dover not being able to fulfil their fixtures they have to start the 2021-2022 season with a 12 point deduction and pay a £40,000 fine.
**Macclesfield Town were relegated from Football League Two in 2019-2020 however off the field problems meant they were unable to start the season and the 146 year old club sadly folded in October 2020 - reforming as a new club called Macclesfield FC.
