Match Report: Plymouth Parkway v Yeovil Town

Yeovil Town's pre-season came to an end with a 1-1 draw at Southern League Side Plymouth Parkway. Town went ahead on 29 minutes when Jake Hyde glanced in at the near-post. Yeovil were reduced to 10 men when Morgan Williams was red-carded after a brawl with the players over a foul on Matt Worthington. Plymouth leveled the game on 90 minutes from a corner and the game finished level.

Yeovil fielded Lewis Williams, Morgan Williams, Josh Staunton, Jake Wannell, Matt Worthington, Josh Owers, Jordan Young, Sonny Blu Lo-Everton, Will Dawes, Frank Nouble and Jake Hyde.

The game was fairly tame as Yeovil weren't looking to go in for many tackles but Town were in control of proceedings.

Yeovil almost went ahead on 10 minutes when some nice build-up play saw Will Dawes put in a nice cross for Nouble who saw his header fly just wide.

Yeovil continued to control the play and went ahead on 30 minutes when Frank Nouble put a low cross into the near post for Jake Hyde who was able to turn it in.

Just before half time Yeovil were reduced to 10 men when both sets of players were involved in a brawl over a foul on Matt Worthington. When the dust had settled players on both sides were shown yellow cards but Morgan Williams was shown a red.

Half Time: Plymouth Parkway 0-1 Yeovil Town

At half time Yeovil subbed Jake Wannell, Jordan Young and Frank Nouble for Jamie Sendles-White, Zack Bell and Olly Thomas

Yeovil were still playing well with a man disadvantage but they weren't really creating much up front.

On 60 minutes Yeovil replaced Lewis Williams, Jake Hyde and Sonny Blu Lo-Everton with Will Buse, Jordan Maguire-Drew and Rhys Murphy.

Five minutes later Matt Worthington and Will Dawes were replaced with Alex Whittle and Charlie Cooper.

As full time approached it was looking like Yeovil would claim the victory but on 90 minutes a Plymouth corner from the left found Dylan Jones who headed home.

Right before the full time whistle Rhys Murphy found himself one on one with Cory Harvey but the keeper made the save and the game finished level.
