Mark Cooper made two changes to the side that drew with Dartford last weekend. Sonny Cox was recalled back to Exeter City while Will Dawes dropped to the bench. Frank Nouble replaced Cox while new loan signing Jay Foulston went straight into the starting XI.
Yeovil went for a 4-3-3 formation with Jay Foulston, Jake Wannell, Morgan Williams and Michael Smith in front of Joe Day. Matt Worthington, Charlie Cooper and Sonny Blu Lo-Everton were in midfield while Frank Nouble, Rhys Murphy and Jordan Young were up front.
On the bench was Jordan Maguire-Drew, Josh Owers, Will Dawes, Alex Fisher and Duncan Idehen.
Hampton kicked off towards the home end.
The away side had the first shot of the game on 6 minutes but Joe Day was able to comfortably make the save, palming away a low effort from Jake Gray.
Two minutes later Rhys Murphy was unlucky not to have given Town the lead when he received the ball in the box, turned and shot at goal but Adam Desbois was able to make the save.
Murphy then dragged a shot wide after a great ball by Michael Smith put him in but the chance was spurned.
After the early chances from Yeovil the game settled down and it was a typical top of the table encounter - both sides cancelled each other out.
The next decent chance for Town came on 34 minutes when Frank Nouble's shot to the far corner was agonisingly wide.
No time was added on at the end of the half and 0-0 was the right scoreline so far.
Half Time: Yeovil Town 0-0 Hampton & Richmond Borough
Neither side made changes at half time and the second half continued in a similar manner to the first.
Both sides made changes on 62 minutes as Hampton replaced Rob Hall with Mason Bloomfield and Yeovil replaced Rhys Murphy with Alex Fisher.
A good chance went begging for Town on 66 minutes when Matt Worthington put a low ball to the far post but Alex Fisher was unable to make a connection to put the ball in.
The half continued with only half chances being created, neither side looking like scoring any time soon and it would need either a moment of brilliance or a bad mistake for either side to take the lead.
Hampton made their second substitution on 86 minutes as they replaced George Hunt with Shane Dunne.
Two minutes later Yeovil replaced Frank Nouble with Will Dawes.
Four minutes of time was added on and neither side were able to break the deadlock.
