With Halifax Town's second goal coming so late in the game there was very little time for Yeovil to respond and Halifax could slow the game down to protect the three points.
6 minutes of time was added on and in the first minute of injury time Halifax Town made it three as Jake Hyde was put through and slotted past Adam Smith. The goal was initially ruled out for offside but the goal stood as the ball came off a Yeovil defender and into the path of Jake Hyde.
Full Time: Yeovil Town 0-3 Halifax Town
A disappointing result today but the scoreline was perhaps a bit harsh on Yeovil. They played well today - particularly in the second half but couldn't make the most of the chances they created and they will also feel hard done by with the penalty decision going against them when the game was at 0-1.
The defeat sees us slip into 16th place in a tightly congested mid-table where just 1 point separates us in 16th to Maidenhead United in 12th. Our season continues on Saturday afternoon where Yeovil made the trip to face Wrexham at the Racecourse Ground with a 3PM kick off.
