Match Report - Larkhall Athletic v Yeovil Town Yeovil Town advanced to the third round of the Somerset Premier Cup last night thanks to a 2-0 win at Larkhall Athletic. Goals from Sonny Blu Lo-Everton and Joe Quigley in either half was enough to see Town progress. Next Fixture

As usual in the Somerset Cup Darren Sarll fielded a mixed team and Yeovil lined up in a 4-4-2 formation with Jake Graziano, Luke Wilkinson, Olly Haste and Max Hunt in front of Max Evans. Alex Bradley, Toby Stephens, Pedro Borges and Sonny Blu Lo-Everton made up the midfield while Adi Yussuf and Joe Quigley lead the attack.
On the bench was Morgan Williams, Callum Smalley, Finn Skiverton, Jonny Lye and Korey Andrews.
Larkhall made the livelier start to the game and won a corner on the right hand side after five minutes but it was defended at the near post.
Despite the lively start from Larkhall it was Yeovil took the lead on 7 minutes as a free kick from the edge of the area by Luke Wilkinson crashed off the crossbar and Sonny Blu Lo-Everton was there to fire the ball into the back of the net.
Yeovil won their first corner of the game on 11 minutes which was crossed to the near post and headed goalwards but the keeper was able to make a comfortable save.
Despite the early setback Larkhall continued to play with positivity and were creating some chances of their own. They won their second corner after 20 minutes as a defensive slip up allowed Larkhall in on goal and it took a decent save by Max Evans to keep Yeovil ahead in the tie. The resulting corner came to nothing.
The rest of the half was fairly tame with Yeovil not looking threatening and they went in at the break with a 1-0 advantage.

Yeovil made their first substitution at half time as Luke Wilkinson was replaced by Morgan Williams.
The second half was didn't really flow at all as there was a lot of stoppages for little fouls and injuries.
Yeovil made a double substitution on 60 minutes as Adi Yussuf and Pedro Borges was replaced by Finn Skiverton and Korey Andrews.
Yeovil had looked unlikely to get another goal in the game but out of nowhere Joe Quigley doubled the advantage as he unleashed a low shot on the edge of the area which nestled into the back of the net.
The remainder of the game was very tame as Yeovil now had a firm control of the game and Larkhall couldn't find a way back into the match.
