Match Report: Yeovil Town v Taunton Town

Yeovil Town were held to a dreadful 0-0 draw with fellow Somerset side Taunton Town at Huish Park this afternoon. In a game that was extremely flat from start to finish, Yeovil weren't able to put in a match winning performance which left the Huish Park faithful feeling very frustrated and annoyed at full time.

Chris Hargreaves made one change to the side that beat Solihull Moors 1-0 last weekend. Lawson D'Ath was dropped from the side as Morgan Williams regained his place in the starting XI.

Yeovil lined up in a 3-5-2 formation with Owen Bevan, Josh Staunton and Ben Richards-Everton in front of Grant Smith. Morgan Williams, Sam Pearson, Sam Perry, Matt Worthington & Chiori Johnson made up the midfield while Charlie Wakefield and Malachi Linton lead the attack.

On the bench was Max Hunt, Alex Fisher, Jake Scrimshaw, Will Buse, Wille Dawes, Callum Rowe and Ollie Haste.

Yeovil kicked off towards the home terrace.

As was to be expected, Taunton made a high tempo start to teh game and almost took the lead after five minutes when a free kick from the right was crossed to the back post and Nat Jarvis headed the ball over the bar.

The game calmed down from here and neither side were able to create any further chances.

I would love to be able to write more about the game, but there really wasn't anything to write about. Both teams weren't creating anything and half time eventually arrived with the game locked at 0-0.

Neither side made changes at half time and the game continued to be a dull affair.

The entire second half was dreadful. Nothing happened at all. The atmosphere was completely flat, the team were showing no passion and the game was just boring in every aspect.
