Chris Hargreaves made six changes to the side that went down 2-0 at Oldham Athletic at the weekend. Morgan Williams and Lawson D'Ath was dropped from the side and Sam Pearson had returned to Bristol City. Gime Toure, Malachi Linton and Chiori Johnson dropped to the bench as Alex Fisher, Sam Perry, Ollie Hulbert, Callum Rowe and new loan signing Ewen Clark made the starting lineup.
Yeovil opted for what seemed to be a 4-3-3 formation with Owen Bevan, Josh Staunton, Ben Richards-Everton and Jamie Reckord in front of Grant Smith. Callum Rowe, Matt Worthington and Sam Perry were in midfield while Olli Hulbert, Alex Fisher and Ewen Clark lead the front line.
On the bench was Max Hunt, Gime Toure, Malachi Linton, Chiori Johnson and Will Dawes.
As has been the case for the previous few games, very little happened throughout.
Aldershot came close to taking the lead on 13 minutes when Tommy Willard's near post shot was parried away by Grant Smith for a corner which came to nothing.
The rest of the half was un-eventful and the teams were level at the break.
Half Time: Yeovil Town 0-0 Aldershot Town
Neither side made changes at half time and the game continued in an un-eventful manner. Both sides weren't very good and it was looking like 0-0 was going to be the most likely outcome.
Yeovil and Aldershot made substitutions on 60 minutes as Alex Fisher was replaced by Gime Toure and Joe Partington was replaced by Kenny Davis.
Yeovil then replaced Callum Rowe with Will Dawes 6 minutes later before both sides made their last substitutions on 74 minutes when Ewen Clark was replaced by Chiori Johnson and Ryan Glover was replaced by Faysal Bettache.
With 13 minutes to go Yeovil had a possible penalty shout waved away by the referee whenh Gime Toure was brought down in the box.
Then on 85 minutes the away side took the lead as Giles Phillips headed home from Ollie Harfields cross.
4 minutes of time was added on and the away side sealed the points when Tommy Willard fired home.
Full Time: Yeovil Town 0-2 Aldershot Town
Yet another Yeovil performance that was absolutely woeful and it got very toxic at full time. I don't agree with giving the players negative chants during the game but the management team have to be held accountable for the mess we are in on the pitch. We have another game this Saturday against a team around us as we visit Maidstone United. Anything but a win there will not be acceptable.
