Match Report: Yeovil Town v Gateshead Yeovil Town picked up their first win under new boss Mark Cooper as they came from behind to beat Gateshead 3-1 at Huish Park yesterday afternoon. Will Harris put Gateshead in front after 25 minutes but Alex Fisher pulled it level five minutes later. Shortly after half time Fisher made it 2-1 and could have made it three when Yeovil were awarded a penalty but it was put over the bar. Yeovil opted for a 4-3-3 formation with Jamie Reckord, Owen Bevan Max Hunt and Chiori Johnson in front of Grant Smith. Jamie Andrews, Josh Staunton and Jamie Andrews made up the midfield while Anthony Georgiou, Alex Fisher and Andrew Oluwabori lead the attack.
On the bench was Gime Toure, Malachi Linton, Ollie Hulbert, Ewen Clarke and Louis Britton.
Gateshead kicked off towards the home end.
The first half was a fairly even and un-eventful affair until the away side took the lead on 25 minutes. A ball forward wasn't intercepted by Josh Staunton and Will Harris was able to fire the ball past Smith.
It didn't take long for Yeovil to level the game as just five minutes later Alex Fisher met Anthony Georgiou's low cross from a free kick and Fisher was able to head it home.
The rest of the half was again fairly uneventful and the game was level at half time.

Just six minutes after the restart Yeovil took the lead when Chiori Johnson put a nice cross into the box for Fisher to fire home.
The game continued with Yeovil playing positive football and Fisher had a golden chance to complete his hat trick when he was fouled in the box and the referee awarded a penalty. Fisher stepped up but fired his effort over the bar.
Yeovil made their first substitution on 69 minutes when Alex Fisher was replaced by Louis Britton.
Five minutes later Andrew Oluwabori was replaced by Malachi Linton.
With 10 minutes left the game was fairly comfortable for the home side. Gateshead thought they had levelled the game on 84 minutes but the offside flag was up.
Five minutes of time was added on and with 2 minutes left the points were sealed when Malachi Linton was put through on goal and slotted the ball home.

This was a much needed win against a team below us in the team. This can hopefully give the team some much needed confidence ahead of our trip to Notts County next weekend.
