Man of the Match Voting for Halifax Town v Yeovil

Yesterday afternoon saw Yeovil claim their third straight win at the Shay as they overcame Halifax Town 2-0, knocking their opponents off the top of the table.

This game was going to be a great test to see if we could compete with a side at the top of the table and many fans were hoping we could create a good account of ourselves - especially away from home. 4 minutes in, Gold Omotayo's strike beat Sam Johnson in the Halifax goal for a 1-0 scoreline. The first half passed without incident as Yeovil looked totally in control of the game, limiting Halifax to only a few half chances.

On 66 minutes Gold Omotayo doubled Yeovil's advantage and put Town firmly in control of the game. This seemed to put Halifax completely out of the game, as the second half ended comfortably for Yeovil.

This was a solid performance that shows that Yeovil can be competitive with the best sides in this division. The win takes Yeovil up to 6th position with 16 points after 10 matches played.
